Wynola (Sue)
Farmer
Sep 13, 1950 — Apr 16, 2022
Wynola "Sue" Farmer was born in Bonifay, FL to James "Buford" Farmer and Betty Farmer. She lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, April 16th at Florala Health and Rehab.
Sue graduated from Walton High School in 1968 and lived in Tallahassee as a young adult. She later moved back to DeFuniak Springs where she lived for a number of years and worked data entry at Showell Farms (later named Perdue). She was transferred to their Dothan office and many years later, retired.
She lived in Birmingham to be near her son for the last 4 years of her life, except for the final month when she moved to Florala to be near her siblings. She loved her family and had some very special friends who were always there her in times of need.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She was survived by her son, James (Jim) Marvin Farmer, her brothers, Wayne, Bill, Wade (Joyce), Warren and Winford and her sister, Wanda (Ed) Goddin, along with several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews as well.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Cancer Freeze and Prayers With Feet at FBC Florala for helping to make the transition to Florala much easier. Thanks also to Florala Health & Rehab staff for their professional care and personal attention to detail in caring for Sue during her short stay there.
At Sue's request there will be no service. Evans Funeral Home will handle arrangements.
