Jr Cassady age 64, of Florala  won his battle against cancer on April 22, 2020. During his fight, he never wavered in his love and devotion to his Lord Jesus Christ. His steadfast reliance on God's strength and compassion allowed him to persevere through very trying times, all while inspiring others to seek the same refuge he had found in Christ. He was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, and teacher for his entire family. Jr will be dearly missed by all those he touched; he was a positive presence in community and church, always taking the opportunity to share a message of hope and healing through belief in Jesus Christ.  He was preceded in death by father, Willis Cassady Sr; mother, Betty Joyce Hinson Cassady; brother, Billy Cassady.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Samantha Fountain Cassady, son, Dustin Cassady and wife Dakota, daughter Shelby Taylor and husband Dustin, granddaughters, Makalynn Cassady, Adaliyah and Hollan Taylor. He loved being their 'Paw Paw". He is also survived by brothers, Allen Cassady, Josh Cassady and wife Joann and Kevin Cassady and wife Susan, sister Debra Hartline and husband Frankie.

Funeral services for Jr Cassady will be 11AM Friday April 24, 2020 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Dennis Sims and Chris Davenport officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in the Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

State guidelines for COVID-19 will be followed during the visitation and services.

Jr's family would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who offered their prayers and support during his illness; the comfort he drew from those prayers helped sustain him on many occasions.
