Wayne Williams age 69, of Kinston passed away January 2, 2024. He was born December 18, 1954 in Opp the son of Travis Williams and Betty Farris Williams.  Wayne worked as a welder in the construction industry for many years until ill health forced his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest legacy was the immeasurable mark he left on his family. Known to them as Wayne, Pops and Paw Paw he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. He was preceded in death by son, Christopher Williams; father, Travis Williams.

He is survived by mother, Betty Farris Williams, sons, Tony Williams and Jason Williams, brothers, Phillip, Pete, Joey and Ronnie Williams, sisters, Teresa Patterson and Cindy Helms, grandchildren, Hali and Eli Williams.

Funeral services for Wayne Williams will be 1PM Saturday January 6, 2024 at Pilgrams Rest Church with Joe Farris officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Rhoades Cemetery.
