Verty Palmer Taylor age 78, of Florala passed away June 20, 2024. She was born September 16, 1945 in Paxton the daughter of James Palmer and Kate Carnley Palmer. Verty had a love of life and a love for getting things done. She was always known for preferring hugs over handshakes. She didn't meet strangers. Verty will be dearly missed by her loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by father, James Palmer; mother, Kate Carnley Palmer; granddaughter, Ashley Morgan; brothers James and Melvin Palmer; sisters, Inez Bryan and Myrtle Jean Grimes.

She is survived by husband, Carl Taylor, son, Jerry Wayne Edwards, daughter, Jeryl Miller, granddaughter, Emilie Edwards, great grandchildren, Cambry Morgan, Mikalyn Ordes, Adelyn Adams, Anson Adams and Archer Adams.

Services for Verty Palmer Taylor will be 11AM Wednesday June 26, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home with Johnny White and Zack Spader officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
