Teena Strickland Birge, age 63, passed away January 21, 2023. She was born October 26, 1959 in Florala the daughter of Polly Strickland and Doris Newberry Strickland. Teena worked as a nurse for over 42 years. She enjoyed watching old westerns, shopping and traveling especially to the beach and mountains with her husband Jeff. Her greatest legacy was the immeasurable mark she left on her family. Known to them as Teena, Mama and Nana she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. She was preceded in death by father, Polly Strickland; mother, Doris Newberry Strickland; brothers, Jerry and Billy Strickland.

She is survived by husband, Jeff Birge, daughter, Crissy Thompson, son, Casey Fink and wife LeeAnn, mother, Louise Strickland, sister, Shelia Anderson and husband Todd, brothers, Mark Strickland and wife Kay and Jim Strickland and wife Laura, grandchildren, Kaylee, Trooper and Gracie. She is also survived by her puppy Bella.

Funeral services for Teena Strickland Birge will be 2PM Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home with Eddie Littlefield and Jackie Davis officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
