Stephen Hollis Sr age 77 of Samson passed away Saturday August 3, 2024. He was born August 6, 1946, in Holly Ridge, North Carolina the son of Frank Hollis and Rillie Ottaway Hollis. Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After his time in the Air Force, he worked for GE as a machine operator in the aircraft industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching game shows, westerns and NASCAR. Steve's faith in Jesus Christ sustained him as he fought many health issues. He fought the good fight. He kept the faith. He finished the race. He was preceded in death by son, Stephen Hollis Jr; father, Frank Hollis; mother, Rillie Ottaway Hollis; brothers, Jason and Franklin Hollis; sister, Connie Mathews.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Jackson Hollis, daughters, Victoria Horton (James), Janice Swigart (Eric) and Carrie Sachs (Alexander), 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He relished being their Papa, and sister, Doris Morris (William).

Funeral services for Stephen Hollis Sr will be 2PM Friday August 9, 2024 at The Tallahassee National Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida.
