Obituary

Ronnie Center, age 64, of Florala passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. A man of quiet strength, gentle humor, and faith, he lived his life doing what he loved and loving those he held dear.

A gifted mechanic by trade, Ronnie had a lifelong passion for cars - watching them race, racing them and working under the hood with skill and care. Whether it was the roar of an engine or the hum of a perfectly tuned ride, it brought him joy like nothing else.

When he wasn't in the garage or at the track, you'd likely find him out on his zero - turn lawnmower, cutting grass often with music playing accompanying his moments of peace in the fresh air.

He was more than a grandfather - he was a personal chauffeur and babysitter, always showing up with a smile and a willingness to go the extra mile for his grandchildren. They were the light of his life, and he was theirs.

One of his most faithful companions was his beloved dog T.C. Louie. The bond they shared was undeniable - T.C. Louie never left his side, offering comfort, loyalty and unconditional love every step on the way.

Ronnie's faith in Jesus Christ was the steady anchor of his life. Ronnie will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering devotion. He was preceded in death by father, George Center; mother, Genell Henderson Center.

He is survived by son, Steven Center (Brittany), daughter, Sasha Thomas (John), brothers, Rickey Center (Debbie) and Randy Center (Becky), grandchildren, Skylar Quincey, Colton Center, Ella Thomas, Camron Center and Fashawna Lawson, the mother of his two children, his partner in crime and best friend, Michelle Holder. He is also survived by extended sons, Satchel Caffy and Joseph Cole abundance of extended loved ones including numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
