Robert Guy Pollard, age 81, of Laurel Hill, FL left this life for his heavenly home on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL after an extensive illness. He was born July 21, 1939 in Hohenwald, TN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Samuel Pollard II, his mother, Gertrude Elizabeth (Yaggie) Pollard, brother, Walter Samuel Pollard III, brother, Charles Pollard, and sister, Gertrude ("Trudy" Pollard) Guttendorf.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Janice Eileen (Presley) Pollard, sister-in-law, Edith (Presley) Clary, brother-in-law, Willard Gene Presley (Shirley) and LaVaughn Presley (Anne) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert (Bob) Pollard served in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-three years and retired in 1982. During his term of service he traveled to 13 countries including Vietnam. Robert acquired the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement , They returned to Laurel Hill, FL where Robert attended college in Pensacola FL, and received his bachelor degree in Math Education. He taught at Baker High School for some time. Bob was a quite Christian man who loved being with the love of his life.

Funeral arrangements will be held by Evans Funeral Home on April 21, 2021 at Bethel Assembly of God Church at 11:00am. Reverend, Jack Day, will preside. Pallbearers; Brian Presley, Terrel Presley, Mike Presley, Joe Williamson, Joey Williams, and John Covington, Jr. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
