Richard Westenberger age 78, passed away Sunday May 10, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born January 22, 1942 in Chicago to Edward Westenberger and Adell Backoff Westenberger. He was preceded in death by father, Edward Westenberger; mother, Adell Backoff Westenberger; brother, William (Bill) Westenberger; sister, Lois Westenberger Mckiernana. Richard worked for Covington Industries in Florala as a service manger for many years. He had many co-workers that he valued and cherished their friendship. Richard was an avid Auburn University and the Chicago White Sox fan!!! He was one of the Florala Wildcat's biggest fans as well. Nothing was more important to him as his family. He relished being "PaPa" to his girls.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Gautney and husband William of Florala, granddaughters, Emily Carson and husband Tierre of Florala, Katelin Slaughter and husband Jeffery of Andalusia and Savannah Cassady of Opp.

Funeral services for Richard Westenberger will be 11AM Wednesday May 13, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with John Lovelady officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
