Rex Qualls age 83, of Florala passed away February 2, 2025.  He was born January 14, 1942 in Paxton the son of James Qualls and Carmen King Qualls. Rex proudly served his country in the Alabama National Guard. He was employed with Louisiana Pacific in Holt for many years until ill health forced his retirement. Rex was know far and wide for his music as a song writer and singer. He was a member of Outreach for Christ Church. Rex's faith in Jesus Christ sustained him as he fought many health issues. He fought the good fight. He kept the faith. He finished the race. He was preceded in death by father, James Qualls; mother, Carmen King Qualls; brothers, Alto, Harvy, Edward and Son; sisters, Izorie, Shara, Jean and Margarie.

He is survived by wife, Mary Ann Qualls, daughter, Lynelle Danielle Heard (David), sons, Michael Brooks (Shelley) and Philip Brooks (Marla), grandchildren, Jake Stephens, Randi nShea Harper, Riley Senn (Micah), Cole Brooks (Erin) and Tyler Brooks.

Services for Rex Qualls will be 2PM Wednesday February 5, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home with Kenneth Hood officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
