Renee Simmons Burlison, of Paxton, Florida, was born on July the 10th, 1961, and passed away peacefully on January the 30th, 2026.

Renee was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Nana, and cherished friend. She loved her family deeply, and her life was centered around caring for and supporting those she held dear. Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence will be remembered by all who knew her.

Renee was a longtime and dedicated employee of Dr. Chuck Stevenson, eye doctor in DeFuniak Springs, where she faithfully served patients and co-workers for many years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Burlison, and her parents, Shirley and Eugene Simmons.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Burlison of DeFuniak Springs, and Dustin Burlison and his wife Camile, also of DeFuniak Springs; her grandchildren, Austin, Tanner, Samuel, Brantley, and Jewel Burlison; her great-grandchildren, Carsynn, Ozlynn, and Althea Renee Burlison; and her best friend, Marylou Geohagan.

Renee's legacy of love, family, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Graveside services for Renee Burlison will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday Feburary 3, 2026 at Paxton Cemetery.
