R A Sexton age 86, of Florala passed away Sunday November 14, 2021. He was born in Greenville, AL the son of H M Sexton and Lillie Burgan Sexton. R A worked as a carpenter in the construction industry until ill health forced his retirement. R A had a love for life and a love for getting things done. He was often found out in the fields working on his family farm. He enjoyed Alabama football. R A will be dearly missed by his family who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by son, Jamie Sexton; father, H M Sexton; mother, Lillie Burgan Sexton; brother, Clarence Sexton; sister, Abbie Sexton.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Holloway Sexton, daughters, Brenda Gail Jones and husband David, Janet Sexton and Kaden Yarbough and husband Josh, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Magalene Jackson, Betty Taylor and Margie Sexton Chambers, brothers, James, Ronnie, Wayne, and Kelly Sexton.

Funeral services for R A Sexton will be 2PM Thursday November 18, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Ronnie Sexton officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in New Harmony Cemetery on Adams Road.
