Patty Gilchrist, age 75, of Florala passed away August 14, 2025.

Born on January 15, 1950, Patty dedicated her life to caring for others. She served as a devoted nurse for many years, offering compassion, skill, and a healing touch to countless patients and their families. Her gentle spirit and steady presence brought comfort to all who knew her.

Outside of her work Patty enjoy the feel of sand between her toes during long walks on the beach, music, dancing and preparing home-cooked meals for her family.

Patty will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, dedication and joy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

She is survived by sons, Gabril Gilchrist and Jason Gilchrist, daughter, Nicole Henderson, brothers, Bobby Martin (Frances), Jerry Martin and Joe Martin, sister, Pam Matin.

A Celebration of Life Service for Patty Gilchrist will be 11AM Monday August 18, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
