O'Neal Poston age 78, passed away Saturday October 30, 2021. He was born September 20, 1943 in Samson the son of Willie Poston and Beatrice Jackson Poston. O'Neal proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 16 years with 2 tours of service in Vietnam where he was awarded 2 Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. After retiring from the Army, O'Neal worked as an electrician. O'Neil had a love of life and a love for getting things done. He enjoyed yardwork, fishing and watching westerns. His biggest legacy, however was the immeasurable mark he left on his children, grand and great grandchildren. Known to them as Daddy and Grandpa, he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. He was preceded in death by wife, Linda Adams Poston; father, Willie Poston; mother, Beatrice Jackson Poston; brother, Billy Ray Poston.

He is survived by son, Michael Poston and wife Lisa, daughters, Becky Richard and Deborah Evans and husband Mike, sisters, Nellie Hurley and husband Johnny and Peggy Russell and husband Junior, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for O'Neal Poston will be 11AM Wednesday November 3, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8PM. Interment will be in 8 Mile Cemetery with military honors.
