Norma Faye Johnson's Obituary
Norma Faye Johnson, age 74, of Florala was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Faye was born June 5, 1947 in Florala to Foy B. Lassiter and Inez Hughes Lassiter. Faye enjoyed her time outdoors with family and friends. She loved summers at the river and never missed an opportunity to open her home for big reunions with those she loved. Faye was a member of Westside Baptist Church where she attended faithfully with her family until her passing. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she bravely fought many health issues over the years. Although her heart was full of love and life her body was very tired. We all will miss her dearly, but she is at peace now.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Johnson, mother Inez Hughes Lassiter, father Foy B. Lassiter, sister Martha Inez Lassiter, brother Mitchell Lassiter, daughter Joyce Martin and nephew Eric Lassiter. Survivors include son Johnny Johnson of Florala, son Kenneth Johnson and wife Misty of Florala, sister Vicki Lassiter Blaich and husband Phil of Pratville and brother Steve Lassiter and wife Lisa of Florala. Grandchildren, Kegan Johnson, Jaden Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Kristina Ramirez, Brittany Johnson, Cody Martin and Cheyenne Martin and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services for Norma Faye Johnson will be held at 3pm Saturday July 10 at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations in memory of Norma Faye Johnson to Cancer Freeze are encouraged.
