Nell Hudnall Davis was lifted up into Heaven, Sunday, May 28 at the blessed age of 91, while surrounded by her family. She was an avid quilter since her young days in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky. Going to the Senior Citizen Center in Florala was a high light of her days. She loved to garden, working in her flowers, quilting and fishing, when they were biting. But most of all, she loved her family. Nell had a wonderful life and loved the simple life. She was a member of the Church of Christ her entire life. She could make a pound cake that would melt in your mouth and was a firm believer in making things from "scratch".

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Davis; her parents, Tommy and Erma Hudnall; one brother, Eldon Hudnall; two sisters: Irene Forrest and Adell Hunt.

She is survived by two children:  Ann Davis Reeves and husband, Dwan; Tim Davis and wife, Melissa. Two grandchildren: Brandon Davis and wife Crystal; Chelsea Burlison and husband, Timmy.  She was known as GooMa by her four great grandchildren:  Brayden and Allie Hutcheson; and Colton and Claire Davis; one niece, Mary Nell Roth and husband Ronnie; two nephews: Garry Forrest and wife Cathy; Curtis Hunt and wife Donna. One local great niece, Pam Fountain Wise and husband, Murray. She leaves behind her loved and spoiled little fur baby, tiny Sweet Pea.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m.; funeral services delivered by Ben May at 11:00 a.m.
