Myrtice Schofield Adams age 91, passed away August 28, 2024. She was born January 30, 1933 in Walton County the daughter of George Franklin Schofield and Gussie Brown Schofield. Myrtice worked for Franklin Ferguson in Florala for over 25 years. She also worked for many other companies retiring at the age of 78. She was a proud member of the 1947 Paxton girls' basketball team. She was incredible wife, mother, grandmother and teacher for her entire family. Myrtice will be dearly missed by all those she touched; she was a hopeful and positive presence in her family and community, never shirking from an opportunity to help anyone who was in need. She was preceded in death by husband, Vinson E Adams Jr; son, Durwood Adams; father, George Franklin Schofield; mother, Gussie Brown Schofield.

She is survived by daughter, Patsy Blackshear, grandchildren, Steve Wilkerson (April), Nick Bedsole, Dale Bedsole, Scott Adams and Douglas Adams, great grandchildren, Andrew Douglas Adams and Douglas Vincent Adams Jr.

Funeral services for Myrtice Schofield Adams will be 2PM Sunday September 1, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Paxton Cemetery.
