Michael
Heher
Jun 11, 1953 — Apr 5, 2026
Michael Bruce Heher, age 72, passed away on April 5, 2026.
Michael was born on June 11, 1953, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to the late William Morgan Heher and Mary Jane Henderson Heher.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Michael is remembered as a gifted craftsman and a man of remarkable generosity. As a dental technician, he specialized in working with gold; carefully crafting gold dental work with precision and skill. His talent extended beyond his profession, as he also created beautiful jewelry, demonstrating both artistry and dedication in everything he touched.
More than his craftsmanship, Michael will be remembered for his heart. He was the kind of man who would give whatever he had to help others. If someone needed his time, he gave it freely. If someone was in financial need, he was quick to lend a helping hand. And if there was work to be done, Michael would roll up his sleeves and get it done without hesitation. His generosity and willingness to serve others defined his life.
Michael had an adventurous spirit. He once followed the Oregon Trail, panning for gold, embracing both the history and the challenge of the journey. He was also a beekeeper, sharing that passion alongside his good friend, Michael Senn. He loved fishing, especially near the ocean, and had a deep appreciation for good food—both in preparing it and enjoying it with others.
Michael is survived by his daughters, Kaitlin (Zach) Bjorklund and Arielle (Will) Lange, his granddaughter, Eva, and siblings Lynn Heher, Terry (Mark) Schnitger, Kate OHehir, William (LB) (Karen) Heher Jr, Matt (Lisa) Heher, Mary (Tom) Hatch, and CeCe Krueger. Michael is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He attended Paxton Baptist Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. Through many health challenges, Michael's faith in Jesus Christ sustained him. As Scripture says, he fought the good fight, he kept the faith, and he finished the race.
A celebration of life service for Michael Bruce Heher will be 4 PM Sunday April 26, 2026 at Paxton Baptist Church with John Lovelady officiating. Visitation for Michael Heher will be a hour before service.
