Melvin Louis Williams Sr, age 63, of Florala passed away Thursday May 6, 2021.  He was born February 15, 1958 in Red Level the son of Ernest Williams Sr and Luella Bradford Williams. Melvin worked in the transportation industry hauling cattle, logs and lumber. He enjoyed Alabama football, NASCAR and cooking for his family. His biggest legacy, however, was the immeasurable mark he left on his family. Known to them as Melvin, daddy, Bear, Pop and Paw Paw, he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. He was preceded in death by father, Ernest Williams; mother, Luella Bradford Williams; brother, Ernest Williams Jr; special friend, Chasidy Franklin; sister, Lois Toles; niece, Diane Williams.

He is survived by son, Melvin Lewis Williams Jr, daughters, Alexis Williams, Jordan Williams and Hailey Faith Williams, brothers, Willie Joe Williams, J. B. Williams and wife Felicia and Calvin Williams and wife Amanda and Bruce Toles and wife Melissa, sisters, Jeanette Carter, Dollie B Ball and Frances Williams, Kimberly Toles and Rose Mae Smiley numerous grand and great grandchildren. He is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Melvin Louis Williams Sr will be 2PM Thursday May 13, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Nathaniel Belcher officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery
