Obituary

Melissa Sulle, of Florala, Alabama, passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 46.

Born on April 22, 1980, Melissa was the beloved daughter of the late George Sulle and Janice Varney Sulle. She lived a life marked by hard work, deep love for her family, and an unmistakable passion for the outdoors.

Melissa was employed as the manager of O'Reilly Auto Parts, where she earned the admiration and respect of her coworkers and customers alike. She was known for her exceptional knowledge of the automotive industry, her willingness to help others, and her strong work ethic. Her leadership, professionalism, and friendly personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Outside of work, Melissa truly came alive in God's creation. She loved deer hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, mudding, and camping, especially the many adventures she shared with her husband, Michael, at Boggs and Boulders near Florala. She found great joy in planting beautiful flowers and tending her vegetable garden.

Melissa possessed what her husband affectionately called "the world's largest bank of useless knowledge." She had an incredible fascination with nature and could explain why a squirrel might have a black ear, identify birds simply by their songs, or share countless interesting facts about wildlife and the outdoors. Those who knew her appreciated her remarkable curiosity and the joy she found in sharing what she had learned.

More than anything else, Melissa treasured her family. Spending time with her husband, children, and grandchild brought her the greatest happiness. Her love, laughter, and adventurous spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Sulle and Janice Varney Sulle, and her brother, Tim Arnett.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Michael Holbrook; her daughter, Cierra Holbrook (Dylon); her sons, Bryce Sulle and Trenton Hall. her brothers, James Sulle (Jennifer), Shawn Sulle (Jamie), Shannon Jordan, and Jeremy Arnett; her sister, Selicia Jordan; her cherished granddaughter, Wrenleigh; along with numerous extended family members and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Nature Preserve Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Melissa's adventurous spirit, generous heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. Though her time here was far too short, the memories she created will continue to live on in the lives of all who loved her.
