Melissa Lawrence Smith age 55, of Florala passed away August 23, 2020. She was born July 9, 1965 in Florala to Roner Phillips and Catherine Pierce Phillips. Melissa worked at American Apparel in Opp. She enjoyed her work and loved her co-workers. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing. Nothing was more important to her as her family. Her youngest son, Steven was born with special needs she devoted her life to make sure his physical and education needs were meet. Melissa's faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she faced many difficult times. She fought the good fight. She kept the Faith. She finished the race. Melissa was preceded in death by father, Roner Phillips; sister, Vicki Faye Phillips.

She is survived by sons, Brian Lawrence and wife Kellie, Robert Lawrence and wife Tiffany and William Steven Lawrence, mother, Catherine Phillips Martin, brothers, Marshal Phillips and wife Marsha and Marcus Phillips and wife Sheila. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Brileigh, Kayleigh, Aleigh and Emmaleigh. She loved being their "Granny".

Memorial services for Melissa Lawrence will be 3PM Wednesday August 26, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
