Melba Belcher Davis, joined her heavenly father on April 24th, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ray Davis, parents, T.L. and Birdie Bell Belcher, and brother, Don Belcher. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Lenn) Nail, her son, Jason (Jennifer) Davis, grandsons, Justin Seay, Connor McDonnell, Bill Davis, granddaughter, Madison Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Melba was a dedicated wife, mother, nana, and friend. She loved spending time with her friends and family and could always be seen with a smile on her face; however, her absolute favorite pastime was spending time with her grandkids and telling stories of her life growing up on her parent's farm. She would tell stories about raising chickens, cows, and hogs and working long hours in the fields tending to the crops.
Melba was an avid reader and enjoyed watching murder mysteries. She was known for reading a book from cover to cover and binge-watching her shows until the wee hours of the morning.
Mom, grandmother, wife, friend, confidant, will be greatly missed for her tender heart, caring nature, and positive outlook on life. We celebrate Melba's life, her accomplishments, her resiliency, and her fortitude for NEVER giving up.
Funeral services for Melba Belcher Davis will be 2PM Thursday April 29, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Billy Pickron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Damascus Cemetery.
