Megan Lee Kilpatrick, age 34, passed away November 5, 2026. She was born October 26, 1992, the daughter of Dale Kilpatrick and Carrie Cox Talley.

Megan understood the value of hard work and the meaning of family. Working side by side with her father on the Kilpatrick farm, she helped manage the poultry and cattle operations with skill, determination, and pride. Whether tending to the daily responsibilities of the farm or repairing a tractor, Megan was capable and resourceful. She had a natural mechanical ability and could often figure out how to get a piece of equipment running again. Her father could depend on her, and their work together was a special part of her life.

In her spare time, Megan enjoyed hunting and fishing. She loved being outdoors, where she could appreciate the quiet of the woods or the simple pleasure of a line in the water.

Above all, Megan loved her children. Alton and Alonna held a place in her heart that belonged to no one else. She was a devoted mother whose love could be seen in the care she gave them and her desire to see them happy, safe, and loved. Of all the responsibilities she carried, being their mother was the one closest to her heart.

This summer, Megan accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and that decision brought a meaningful change to her life. Those who knew and loved her saw the difference. Her faith became more than words; it began to shape her heart, her character, and the way she lived. Through Christ, Megan found forgiveness, hope, and a new beginning. Today, her family finds comfort in knowing that she placed her trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and now she rests in His everlasting love.

Megan was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Doris Cox; maternal stepfather, Tony Talley; paternal grandmother, Mabel Kilpatrick; uncle, Ronnie Kilpatrick; and brothers, Brandon Kilpatrick and Cody Kilpatrick.

She is survived by Kenny Wilson; her son, Alton Dale Coon; her daughter, Alonna Malee Coon; her mother, Carrie Talley (Jason); her father, Dale Kilpatrick (Desiree); and the father of her children, Franklin Coon. She also leaves behind an abundance of extended loved ones, including numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services for Megan will be held Monday, November 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Almarante Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 10:30 a.m., thirty minutes prior to the service.
