Maxine King age 71, passed away January 31, 2021.  She was born January 17, 1950 in Crestview to Perry Barrow and Hattie Mae Peirce Barrow. Maxine worked in the textile industry in Florala for many years until ill health force her retirement. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her late husband Gail. Maxine was an excellent cook and was known for her pound cakes. Her biggest legacy, however, is the immeasurable mark she left on her family. Known to them as Maxine, mom, and "Ma Ma" she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. She will be dearly missed by her love ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She was preceded in death by husband, Gail King; grandson, Galen Hunter Cox; father, Perry Barrow; mother, Hattie Mae Peirce Barrow.

She is survived by daughters, Shirley Stone and husband John, Liz McDonald and husband Rod and Peggy King, sons, Jamie and Johnny King grandchildren, Matthew and Conner McDonald, Nealand and Layton Stone, Andy King, Natalie, Hunter, and Candice Goodwin.

Graveside services for Maxine King will be 2PM Wednesday February 3, 2021 at Almarante Cemetery with John Lovelady officiating.
