Maudie Landingham Barnes, passed away February 28, 2021. She was born January 11, 1930 in Hacoda to Gafford Landingham and Winnie Smith Landingham. Maudie enjoyed sewing, puzzles and reading. Those who knew Maudie well knew of her love for caring for her yard around her home and fishing. Her biggest legacy, however was the immeasurable mark she left on her family. Known to them as Maudie, mama and Granny, she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. She was preceded in death by husband, James Barnes; father, Gafford Landingham; mother, Winnie Smith Landingham; brother, William Landingham; sister, Lois Holder.

She is survived by son, Richard Barnes and wife Marilyn, daughters, Jerrie Jackson and husband William and Sybil McDougald and husband Don, sisters, Sally McLaney and Mae Bush, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Maudie Landingham Barnes will be 2PM Thursday March 4, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Josh Rigby and Shannon McDougald officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
