Mary Sweat passed away Wednesday June 23, 2021. She was born November 19, 1927 in Opp the daughter of Ernest White and Mary Bell Berry White. Mary was a active member of the Paxton Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Paxton Garden Club for many years. Mary was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and teacher for her entire family. She will be dearly missed by all those she touched; she was a hopeful and positive presence in her community and church, never shirking from an opportunity to share a message of hope and healing through belief in Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by husband, Lonnie Sweat; son, Melvin Sweat; father, Ernest White; mother, Mary Bell Berry White; sister, Margie Jackson.

She is survived by sons, Larry Sweat and wife Margie and Ronnie Sweat and wife Lee Ann, sisters, Estelle Norman and Josephine Gordon and husband John, brother, Otis White and wife Pat, grandchildren, Jeremy Sweat and wife Whitney, Amelia Johnson and husband Brett, Morgan Sweat and wife Heather and Jackie Kimbril and husband Jon, great grandchildren, Hunter Kimbril, Kyler Kimbril and Charlotte Johnson.

Funeral services for Mary Sweat will be 2PM Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Paxton Baptist Church with John Lovelady officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in the Paxton Cemetery.
