Mary Edna Long age 84, of laurel Hill passed away April 13, 2025. She was born August 11, 1940 in Laurel Hill the daughter of Ovie Boutwell and Velma Ekstrom Boutwell. Edna enjoyed fishing and family gatherings playing Yahtzee and Pinochle. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Laurel Hill. Edna was preceded in death by husband, James Long; father, Ovie Boutwell; mother, Velma Ekstrom Boutwell; brother, Gene Boutwell.

Survivors are son, Jeron Long (Linda), daughter, Meloney Taylor (Oscar), sister, Jeanette Tyner, 8 grandchildren and 16great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Edna Long will be 10AM Wednesday April 16, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home with Mike McVay officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Seva Cemetery
