Obituary

Marvin Palmer, of Milton, Florida passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was proud to serve his country in the United States Army for two years before returning home to dedicate himself to both his work and his land. Marvin worked for many years as a chemical operator at Monsanto Industries, where he was part of the process of manufacturing artificial turf. His strong work ethic and steady hands carried over into his life as a farmer, where he found his greatest joy working in his fields. Whether it was riding his tractor, tending the land, or repairing machinery, he was known as a man who could fix anything.

More than his career or his farming, Marvin was defined by the love he had for his family. He especially cherished the role of grandfather and was affectionately known as "Paw Paw" a name that brought joy to his grandchildren and a smile to all who knew him.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend — a man of quiet strength, enduring patience, and steadfast love. His legacy lives on in the fields he cared for, the family he adored, and the countless lives he touched along the way.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Ryan (Greg), and Judy Little, grandchildren, Maggie Ryan, Amy Ryan, Rebecca Ryan, J.D. Little, and Josh Little (Emily). He is also survived by his brothers, Huey Palmer (Karen) and Edward Palmer; and his sisters, Juanita Posey, Melvilene Cawthon, and Betty Locke. Additionally, he leaves behind an abundance of extended loved ones, including numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services Marvin Palmer will be 2PM Friday August 29, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home with burial to follow at Clear Springs Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
