Martha Mitchell Hughes age 72, of Florala passed away July 4, 2020. She was born April 14, 1948 in Florala to Dow Mitchell and Theresa Grant Mitchell. She enjoyed Alabama Football, cooking, yard sales, going out to eat and going to the casino. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she fought many health issues. She fought the good fight. She kept the faith. She finished the race. She was preceded in death by father, Dow Mitchell; mother Theresa Grant Mitchell; brother, Jimmy Mitchell.

She is survived by sons, Mitchell Morrison and wife Amy of Andalusia and Matthew Morrison of Andalusia, sisters Dell Aplin of Defuniak Springs and Mary Kathryn Renken and husband Robin of Fairfax, VA, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Martha Mitchell Hughes will be 11AM Thursday July9, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with Phil McMillan officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
