Martha Doris Mills Collinsworth, age 81, passed away at home Tuesday, November 26, 2019, in Gaskin, Florida. Doris was born on April 27, 1938. She was raised in Washington County, Florida by her mother and step-father, Stella and Paul Wiggins. Doris wore many hats throughout her life, such as waitressing at Dairy King in Florala, AL, she was a seamstress at both Covington Industries and Franklin Ferguson, and she was a private care-giver for many years. When Doris retired, she had been working as a CNA at Chautauqua Rehab and Nursing Center. Doris married the love of her life, Kie Collinsworth, on April 20, 1968. Together they lovingly raised two sons, Johnny R. Collinsworth and Bobby G. Collinsworth.

Doris had a love of life and a passionate nature. She loved to fish and enjoyed being outdoors. She could always be found beside her husband and sons when they were working on a vehicle or taking care of chores on the property. She loved to crochet and enjoyed watching old western movies. She had a wonderful sense of humor and never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her sweet smile and spunky spirit will be truly missed. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Wheelus and Paul and Stella Wiggins; her sisters, Corrine Wheelus and Lillian Owens of Wausau, FL.; her brother, Carthel Wheelus of Mobile, AL.; and her son, Johnny R. Collinsworth of Gaskin, FL.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kie Collinsworth; son, Bobby G. Collinsworth and his wife, Rhonda; daughter-in-law, Joy Collinsworth of Gaskin, FL; brother, Paul Wiggins, Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Chipley, FL; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by an abundance of extended loved ones, including numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Martha Doris Mills Collinsworth will be 3PM Friday, November 29, 2019 at Gaskin Cemetery with Reverend Greg Alford officiating.
