Margaret Ann "Peggy" Thompson, age 85 of Laurel Hill, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024. She was born November 19,1939 to James and Ola Hughes. Peggy had a servant heart, and she was a caregiver and Director of Nursing for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dogs, tending to her flowers and koi pond, collecting Native American artifacts, and researching ancestry. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Ola Hughes, husband Jimmie Thompson, son Christopher Thompson, and granddaughters Tiffiany Brown and Lakishia Thompson.

Peggy is survived by her grandsons, Gary Thompson (Amanda), Terry Thompson, and Cory Brown (Maria); seven great-grandchildren, Marissa, Savannah, Ayden, Noah, Payton, Elias and Lucas; sister-in-law Laura Mitchell (Ronnie), daughter-in-law Theresa Chapman (Robert), and many extended family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Country Cottage for providing such wonderful and compassionate care to Peggy.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
