Madelean (John) McCoy age 77 passed away July 18, 2020. She was born October 12, 1942 in Florala to Griffin Cassady and Margie Paul Cassady. Madelean worked in the textile industry in our area for many years. She enjoyed word search puzzles, watching wrestling, soap operas and reading. Nothing was more important to her as her family. Known to them as John, Mama and Granny John she will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. She was preceded in death by father of her children, James McCoy; father, Griffin Cassady; mother, Margie Paul Cassady; brother, Aaron Cassady; sister, Inez Woosley; nephews, Travis and Jerry Woosley.

She is survived by son, Jimmy McCoy and wife Angelia, daughters, Debra Simmons and husband Ernest Williford, Pam Fuller and husband Bennie and Linda Kyser and husband Tim; brother Eddie Cassady and wife Janice, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Madelean McCoy will be 11AM Monday July 20, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with Chris Davenport and Ray Bundy officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Corner Creek Cemetery.
