Mrs. Louise Burleson age 88, of Florala gained her heavenly wings on March 9, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Louise was born in Elba on October 28, 1935 to Charles and Trudie Kendrick. She was employed by Franklin Ferguson in Florala but spent most of her life as a stay-at-home wife and mom. In her later years she enjoyed helping raise her grandchildren and eventually loved spoiling her great grandchildren. She loved being their "Me Maw". Louise enjoyed spending time at the Florala Senior Center and playing Bingo. Louise was an active member of Westside Baptist Church for many years. Louise greatest legacy, however, was being a loving mother to her six children. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Lee Ray Burleson, brothers, Willie Ray Kendrick and James Kendrick, sister, Jewell Clark and Edna Lois Kendrick.

She is survived by sons, Jimmy Burleson, Donald Burleson (Kay) and Jeff Burleson (Gay), daughters, Judy Burleson, Janet Burleson and Jeanette Simmons (Jeromie), brothers, Clarence Kendrick, Tommy Kendrick and Clyde Kendrick (Wanda), sisters, Faye Watson, Joyce Myers (Bob) and Myrtle Cotton (Jimmy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Brad Burleson, Jonathan Burleson, Alex Burleson, Trey Burleson, Logan Strickland and Dustin Hinson.

Funeral services for Louise Burleson will be 11AM Wednesday March 13, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron and Phil McMillon officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
