Lou McDougald age 83, passed away June 11, 2020. She was born August 12, 1936 in Samson to Governor Churchwell and Minnie Lou Parrish Churchwell. Lou enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening. She also enjoyed watching soap operas, westerns and her favorite TV series Columbo. Lou was a phenomenal wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by father, Governor Churchwell; mother, Minnie Lou Parrish Churchwell; brothers, Glen, Earnest and Cecil Churchwell; sisters, Voncile and Ruby Kate.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ferrell McDougald, daughter, Janet Hataway and husband David of Enterprise, sons, Marc McDougald and wife Lynn of Enterprise, Patrick McDougald of Florala, Steven McDougald of Miami and Krystal McDougald Tyrell of Clarksville, Tennessee. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She relished being their "Maw Maw". Brother, Kenneth Churchwell and wife Beverly sisters, Martha Stafford and Sylvia Rogers and husband Allen. She is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Lou McDougald will be 5PM Saturday June 13, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery with Josh Rigby and Shannon McDougald officiating.
