Lloyd Edward Weeks, 79, of Childrens Home, Florida passed away at his home on August 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born to parents Loyce and Minnie (Scroggins) Weeks on April 7, 1942 in Laurel Hill, Fl.

Lloyd graduated from Lake Wales High School in Lake Wales, Florida in 1960. In 1961, Lloyd joined The United States Army. He was a member of The 82 ^nd Airborne (Screaming Eagles) and graduated from Explosive Ordnance Disposal School. He married Janie (Talbot), the love of his life, in 1962 and settled in Childrens Home, Fl. The next 21 years Lloyd worked at Monsanto Textile Corporation during which he served as Walton County Commissioner for 4 years. Over the span of his life he accomplished various schools of study such as Professional Realty Appraiser, Auctioneering School and The Berean School of the Bible. Lloyd finished his professional career as an Investigator for the State of Florida Fire Marshall's  Office.

Lloyd was a husband, father, grandfather, friend, neighbor, scholar, patriot and politician. He was a lifelong farmer. He spent many days working his fields for the love of farming. Lloyd was a proud family man; having 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, he enjoyed spending time with them. Lloyd enjoyed watching The University of Florida Gators Football, sharing jokes and walking the farm with his dog Rusty.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Loyce and Minnie Weeks, his mother-in-law Alene (McLeod) Talbot and great-grandson Kelijah Morgan.

He is survived by his wife Janie and his children: Melissa (Tim) Davis, Keith (Bobby) Weeks, Christopher (Pam) Weeks, Merri (Sam) Everhart, Joshua (Katie) Weeks and Eric Thompson along with grandchildren Brandon Davis, Chelsea Hutcheson, Logan Weeks and Grace Weeks, Laura Morgan, Starr and Cheyenne Weeks, Justin and Nicole Thompson, Zane and Ruby Weeks. Lloyd is also survived by his precious great-grandchildren, sister, Joanne W Webster-Cummings and husband Bob.

A celebration of life for Lloyd will be held on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 11:00AM at Evans-Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour before service. Interment will be in the Paxton Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.

Funeral services for Lloyd Weeks will be 11AM Thursday September 2, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Wayne White officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Paxton Cemetery.
