Leathie Pickron Jackson age 85, passed away August 27, 2021. She was born March 24, 1936 in Florala the daughter of Mal Pickron and Eddie Harrison Pickron. Leathie worked in the textile industry in our area for many years. She loved to prepare meals for her family and friends and was known for her legendary 17 layer chocolate cake. Leathie also enjoyed caring for her flowers around her home and crocheting. Nothing, however, was more important than spending time with her family. Leathie was loved by many because she gave love to so many. She will be dearly missed by her love ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by husband, Donald Ray Jackson; daughters, Donna Sue Jackson and Renee Phillips; father, Mal Pickron; mother, Minnie Harrison Pickron.

She is survived by son, Ray Jackson and wife Sue, grandchildren, Tracey, Tori (Justin), Allen, Allison and Clayton, great grandchildren, Gloria, Gracie, Gabbie, Easton, Paislegh, Madi, Bailey and Stella. She loved being their "Nanny".

Funeral services for Leathie Pickron Jackson will be 3PM Sunday August  29, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Ray Bundy and Charlie Williams officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
