Katie Margaret Jones, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2023.

Katie was born September 12, 1933 in Bonifay, Florida to the late George Whipple and Ann Underwood.

Katie worked many years for Vitro Services, ultimately retiring from RCA in 1994 as supervisor of employee benefits.

Katie is preceded in death by her parents, George Whipple and Ann Underwood Waller, her husband, Charles Jones, sister, Lila Shores and stepdaughter, Carren O'Callaghan. Katie is survived by her children, Sheila Goodson Self (Larry Walker), Greg Goodson, stepchildren, Cana O'Brien, Sherry Hook (Alan), Vic Jones.

Katie is also survived by her sister and best friend, Grace Whipple Watson, sisters, Jan Hurley (Donald) and Lynda Waller (Buzz Queen),  grandchildren, Robert Self, Neil Hook, Mark Hook, Alex Hook, Phillip O'Brien, Candace Legge, Alex Jones, Brandy Jones and Kelly O'Callaghan. Along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Katie Margaret Jones will be Monday October 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Laurel Hill with Pastor Mike McVay officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Almarante Cemetery.
