Obituary

Judy Ray Glass, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Lockhart, AL, on March 14, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1955, at Feamcom AFB in Tachikawa, Honshu, Japan.

Judy had a deep love for the outdoors and took great pride in tending to her yard. She found joy in cooking and baking, always making sure her loved ones were well-fed and cared for. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, who she loved as if they were her own. She was especially proud of her children, "Meme Kids," and "Great Meme Kids," and she adored her sweet little Yorkie, Bebe.

She is survived by her longtime companion, David Beavers; her daughter, Jennifer Jernigan (Doug); her sons, Brian Glass (Shawn) and Jason Glass (Kayla); her grandchildren, Kayla Reeder (Justin), Katie Whittington (Bo), Emily Jackson (Chris), Eli Holcomb, Haley Glass, Lindsey Cabrera (Logan), Shelby Glass, Lilly Glass, and Gracie Glass; and her great-grandchildren, Karleigh, Emmett, Leighton, Kason, Lakynn, Rhett, Rip, Kensie, Aron, Jacob, Bentley, Colby, Haizelle, Lyllah, and Wyatt.

She is also survived by her brothers, Dennis Ray (Gillian), Donald Ray (Joni), and John Bacon and her sisters Lynn Ray and Sibyl Ray.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Harriet Graham; her father, Cecil Ray; her sister, Nancy Bacon; and her brother, David Ray.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

A service to honor and celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Lupus or Heart Foundation or a charity of choice
