Jimmy Dewayne Wise of Lockhart, Alabama passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 56.

Jimmy was born on June 17, 1969, in Samson, Alabama to John Wayne Wise and Charlene Boyd Wise. He spent his life as a hardworking and respected member of the construction industry, known for his skill as a roofer and tile craftsman. Jimmy took great pride in his work, and those who knew him recognized not only the quality of what he built, but the strong work ethic and integrity with which he lived his life.

Outside of his work, Jimmy found joy in the simple things. He loved tending to his vegetable garden each year, planting and nurturing it with care. He enjoyed good cooking and often spoke of his mother as the best cook, he ever knew. Jimmy lived a quiet, content life, grounded in faith. He spent time reading and studying his Bible, and his relationship with Jesus Christ was a steady source of strength and peace.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, John Wayne Wise.

He is survived by his loving mother, Charlene Boyd Wise; his brothers, Dewitt Wise and wife Michelle, and Michael Wise; his sister, Donna Bracken and husband Jason; and his nephew and niece, Ethan Wise and Michela Wise, who were like children to him and held a very special place in his heart.

A celebration of life service will be 11 AM Saturday May 16, 2026 at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.
