Dan was born on September 21, 1936 to Eva and Chester Peoples and joined his older brother
Dawes on their farm in Covington County.  After his father died, he and his mother moved to
Lake Wales, FL where he graduated high school.  After high school graduation, he began working
for Chemstrand in Pensacola, FL.  He soon met the love of his life, Kitty, and they began their
great adventures together.  He was a pioneer in data processing in the 1950's and 1960's.  His
career took him and his family to Rock Hill, SC, Alexander City, AL, Los Angeles, CA, Tampa, FL
and finally Milton, FL.  He and Kitty made friends everywhere they lived and traveled. In 2002,
they began working together as a sales team in the golf apparel industry, traveling the southeast
together until her death in 2022.
Dan received numerous awards and accolades in his long career but his greatest pride and
achievement was taking care of his family and showing great hospitality to all he met.  He will
be greatly missed but his spirit of optimism and joy will live on in all who knew him.
A private funeral service will be held on January 25, at Evans Funeral Home in Florala, AL.  The
family is especially thankful for the love and care of the staff and community at Wesley Haven
