Michael Heard age 70, of Florala passed away December 27, 2019. He was born February 24, 1949 in Birmingham, AL to Charles Heard and Norma Jean Fowler Heard. Mike loved his family above all else.  He was surrounded by those who loved him when he passed.

He is survived by his loving wife Patty, his mother Norma Jean Heard, his sons Jay, Carol and JC, his daughter Elizabeth, and their spouses and children.  Mike was passionate about his Alabama Crimson Tide football team and was a lifelong reader.  He also loved all forms of dancing, but was especially fond of country western dancing.  Mike was an avid history buff and dedicated engineer. He always spoke of love and those who knew him felt that love and loved him in return.  He will be missed deeply.

Memorial services for Michael Heard will be 9AM Monday December 30, 2019 at the First Lutheran Church in Florala with James Yonkers officiating.
