"A Time to Be Born"

Mrs. Gussie Mae Milton was born on March 31, 1945, to Charlie & Lillie Mae Tyson. She was raised in Homerville, GA, Andalusia and Florala, Alabama area. Ahe was number 7 of 20 children.

"A Time to Plant"

Gussie worked hard caring for her family and took great pride in her upbringing. She did various jobs in her lifetime, one job she did best and tole pride and joy in was caring for people. Mrs. Gussie never was a stranger to those who were in need. She loved helping all that called on her. Anyone fortunate enough to know her, was taught the importance of love, family, fashion and God.

Early on in Mrs. Gussie life she met Rev. Wilson Yelverton Sr., and they build a family together and to their union 5 children were born. She stood faithful with Rev. Yelverton in ministry and their union for many years. Gussie overcame many hardships and adversities but no matter what she always proclaims the Gospel of Jesus, how great our God is and how everything she did was unto him and not mankind.

"A Time to Love"

Our Sweet Gussie has sowed seeds into good soil and in doing so we are blessed to witness her harvest. She was faithful to St. Mark Baptist Church under Paster Walter Williams, then to serve God @ Macedonia Baptist Church under Pastor Willie E Brown Sr., She believed in keeping her family in church. Another thing she was known for was her beautiful, stylish fashion. Gussie always carried herself in grace and amazing style.

Later in her life Gussie would unite in Holy union with Deacan John Milton and together they continued to work as good stewardess and labor in the gospel. She would continue to show love towards her family as she raised 7 of her grandchildren. Gussie never complained about anything. She would voice her opinion but always end it with "It's Gods will"

Gussie has fulfilled the call of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great - great grandmother, auntie, cousin, sister-in-law and all that a mortal woman could do.

It's evident that God makes no mistakes, but our hearts cry, because we will miss our sweet great woman that God lent us.
