Gregory (Boss) Thames passed away February 4, 2021. He was born June 13, 1953 in Florala to Charlie Ben Thames and Lillian Mary Cassady Thames. Boss was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was known for always preferring hugs over handshakes. His laugh and smile would light up a room. Boss was an enemy to no one and a friend/brother to everyone. Although constantly busy as a business owner in the tree surgeon industry, nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family. Boss is dearly missed by his love ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was preceded in death by wife Karen Thames; father, Charlie Ben Thames; mother, Lillian Mary Cassady Thames; brother, Mike Thames; sister, Helen McDonald.

He is survived by sons, Gregory Shad Thames and William Seth Thames, daughter, Brandi Nichole Watkins, brothers, Jerry Thames and Danny Thames. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren. He loved being their "Pa Pa".

Funeral services for Gregory (Boss) Thames will be 2PM Sunday February 7, 2021 at Evans Funeral Home with Rex Cassady officiating.  Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Corner Creek Cemetery.
