Obituary

Farlin Jackson age 80, of the New Harmony Community passed away March 25, 2020. He was born January 25, 1940 in Florala to Curtis Jonah Jackson and Lillie Jane Jackson. Farlin was carpenter most of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman spending countless hour in the woods, fields, ponds and lakes of Northwest Florida and South Alabama hunting whitetail deer and catching large mouth bass. Farlin always made time to plant a vegetable garden for his family, neighbors and friends.  His biggest legacy, however was the immeasurable mark he left on his wife, sons and grandchildren. Known to them as Farlin, daddy and 'PaPa", he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Farlin's faith in Jesus Christ sustained him as he fought many health issues.  He fought the good fight. He kept the faith. He finished the race. He was preceded in death by father, Curtis Jonah Jackson; mother, Lillie Jane Jackson; brother, Jimmy Jackson; sisters, Inez Carroll, Doris Adams and Ila Jowers.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Magelene Sexton Jackson, sons, Ken Jackson and wife Joann and Greg Jackson, grandchildren, Ethan and Heather Jackson. He relished being their "PaPa". He is also survived by brothers, Luther Ray Jackson and Billy Jackson.

Graveside services for Farlin Jackson will be 11AM Saturday March 28, 2020 at Harmony Fellowship Church Cemetery with Ronnie Sexton officiating.
