Evelyn Jean Tedder age 76, of Florala passed away May 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her children and loved ones. Born August 10, 1943 in Florala as the youngest of thirteen children to Oscar and Emma Kimbro.

She is survived by two dear brothers, Walt and Billy Kimbro, both residing in Florala. Evelyn Graduated class of 1961 at Covington County High, wed Edward Harrison of Florala and raised three children, Royce Harrison of Pensacola, FL., Roger Harrison Of Montgomery, AL., and Pamela Mason of Florala. She is survived by each of them along with grandsons, Palmer Harrison, Alex Myrick, and Tyler Myrick. In 1993 Evelyn wed Zelton (J.C.) Tedder and remained by his side until his passing on August 19, 2018. Her stepson Zelton (Bud) Tedder Jr. of Paxton survives her as well. She preceded in death by her parents, husband, ten brothers, and sisters and granddaughter, Maddie Harrison.

Evelyn was known by most for her incredible love for flowers, yard sales, porcelain figurines and her love of animals like her precious dogs, Chico, Lola, and Daisy. She could be found often sitting on her porch, chatting fondly with family and friends, and love watching old westerns on TV. She also enjoyed worshipping at State Line Church of Christ. Even during her battle with cancer, she remained optimistic, cheerful and always had an encouraging word for anyone crossing her path. Her sweet, soft voice and kind heart lifted spirits and will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Evelyn Tedder will be 3PM Sunday May 24, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with Robert Harrison officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in the Paxton Cemetery.
