Evelyn Love, aged 85, departed this life on January 20, 2024 at her home in Andalusia, Alabama. Born on September 14, 1938, in Baker, Florida, Evelyn was a beloved lady who led a life of dedication to family and kindness to all.

Evelyn's life began in the humble surroundings of Baker, Florida where she grew into a woman of strength and character. She was a seamstress by trade for many years in Crestview, Florida. Evelyn eagerly anticipated the arrival of spring each year to tend to her cherished flower garden, creating a space of beauty and peace that she enjoyed tremendously.

A devoted wife to her late husband, Clyde Love, for 40 years, Evelyn's commitment to her family was unwavering. Her life was also characterized by her unselfish nature, as she dedicated herself to helping others and making a positive impact in her community, like volunteering at the Christian Service Center in Florala, Alabama, giving money and food to families in need, buying Bibles for a church, and giving money to the Cancer Freeze, just to name a few examples.

Evelyn's legacy is carried forward by her surviving sister, Olene Harrelson of Baker, Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will continue to remember and honor her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Love, her parents, Walter and Vena Selvage, and four siblings.

As we reflect on Evelyn's life, we are reminded of the warmth and love she brought to those around her. Her spirit of generosity and compassion will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her. Evelyn Love's memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family, friends, and those fortunate enough to have known her.

Funeral services for Evelyn Love will be 2PM Wednesday January 24, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home with Gary Martin officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
