Our beloved mother, granny, great-granny, and great-great-granny, Eunice S. Scroggins left us for heaven on April 7, 2023. She was reunited with her husband of 69 years George and her daughter Beverly Ann. She was also greeted by her parents, Wiley and Clara Scott; sisters, Lacy and Jeannette; brothers Ray, Buck, and Claude.

She is survived and missed by her children; Michael (Sandi) and Ron; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Mary (Harold) Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Eunice was born on April 13, 1934, in Andalusia, Alabama. Eunice had a kind heart and generous nature and was always willing to help anyone. To have known her was to love her. She married George in August of 1954 and they moved to Lake Wales, Florida where she worked in a citrus juice plant. After that they moved to Florala, Alabama where she spent the rest of her life. She sang alto in many small church choirs and sang for church with George while he played the guitar. She worked in the Franklin Ferguson shirt factory for many years until the birth of her daughter Beverly Ann. Beverly was born with a rare congenital birth defect. Eunice cared for Beverly 24 hours a day until her passing at age seven on December 23, 1980. Beverly's passing took an immeasurable toll on the emotional and physical health of the entire family, especially Eunice. She was never the same after that. As time went by her health continued to decline. Eunice never lost her faith in Jesus and knew she would one day meet her precious Beverly again and she has.

Funeral services for Eunice S Scroggins will be 11AM Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
