In loving memory, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and sister, Estelle White Norman.  She was the daughter of Ernest and Belle White born in Opp, Alabama in 1931.

She is survived by her brother, Odus White, sister, Josephine Gordon, sons, Robert and William Norman, Jr., and daughters, Shirley Olsen (husband, Leif), Linda Brantley (husband, Walter), and Barbara Jarrell.  Estelle loved and cherished eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Estelle was the faithful wife of William Norman, married to him for sixty years prior to his passing.  She was also predeceased by her parents, two sisters, and one grandchild.

Estelle was an active member of Paxton Baptist Church and was known for her compassion and benevolence.  She was also involved in the community, as a member of the Paxton Garden Club, attendee at the Florala Senior Citizen Center, and volunteer at the Consignment Shop sponsored by Tri-Cities Christian Services.

Estelle was known for her amazing southern style cooking and food preparation.  She wanted to be remembered as a housewife even though she did many different jobs prior to retirement (bank clerk, store manager, postal carrier, etc.). She and her husband, Jerry, joyfully traveled all over the United States for several years.   Estelle persevered through many trials in her long life, yet she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, with all of her being.  We know who she is with and are comforted by that knowledge.

There will be a celebration of Estelle's life at Paxton Baptist Church on Saturday, September 7, 2024, where visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon, with John Lovelady officiating. Interment will be in Paxton cemetery
