Emogene Tisdale age 87, of Florala passed away Friday June 23, 2023. She was born in Dixie, Alabama on March 15, 1936 the daughter of William Lunsford and Annie Parker Lunsford. Emogene was avid fisherman and spent countless hours in the ponds and lakes of our area.e also enjoyed taking care of her flowers around her home and crocheting. Emogene faith in Jesus Christ sustained her as she fought many health issues. She fought the good fight. She kept the faith. She finished the race. She was preceded in death by daughter, Karen Suzette; father, William Lunsford; mother, Annie Parker Lunsford; brother, Gordon Lunsford; sisters, Ester Lassiter and Edna Wambles, son-law, Micky Adams.

She is survived by sons, Oscar Taylor and Tommy  Rowlettte, daughters, Valinda Twiggs and husband Bennny and Patricia Adams, grandchildren Michael, Brook, Kelly, Betty Jean, Daniel, Travis and Thomas Adams. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Emogene Tisdale will be 2PM Sunday June 25, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home with Billy Pickron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery.
