Eloise Phillips Cawthon age 85, of Florala passed away peacefully September 16, 2024 with family at her side. She was born September 7, 1939 in Hacoda, Alabama the daughter of Dallas and Bertha Phillips. Eloise spent many years working in the textile industry in Florala and being a caregiver to her parents. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Eloise enjoyed crocheting for her family, friends and residents of Florala Health & Rehab. Eloise's faith and relationship with God sustained her through some very tough times which was evident to everyone who knew her. Her greatest joy and legacy, however, was her family. She was preceded in death by parents, Dallas and Bertha Phillips, sisters, Pauline Price and Eva Phillips, brother, Donald Phillips and the father of her children, Willard Cawthon.

Left to cherish her memory and her love are son, Tim Cawthon (Belinda), daughter, Lisa Franklin-Jackson (Kennith) grandchildren, Erica Ellis, Cara Brooks, Austin Franklin (Sidney), Kennith James Jackson (Jess) and Sally Lunsford, great grandchildren, Brendan Ellis, Ayzlee Brooks, Braxton Franklin, Fallon Franklin, Kadance Jackson, Dalton Jackson, Harold King, Nic King, Ashton Clark and Andrew Ellis, sister, Betty Cox and brothers, Bobby Phillips and Winford Phillips. She is also survived by an abundance of extended loved ones, including numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services for Eloise Cawthon will be 11AM Saturday September 28, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron, Kevin Brooks and Phil McMillion officiating. A time of visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
